Support for
Healthcare
Workers

Working in Healthcare can be stressful and challenging for innumerable reasons. I offer support, problem-solving, and stress management for nurses, physicians, psychologists, frontline staff, and other healthcare workers. As a nurse who has worked in many healthcare systems, as a family member who has cared for ill loved-ones, and as a psychotherapist who worked for 12 years with older medically hospitalized veterans and their families, I hope my experiences will enhance my ability to understand your challenges and help you better manage your stress and stressors.

Together, We’ll Work To:

Identify stressors and vulnerabilities, and develop a plan, grounded in evidence-based CBT to manage your stress, including:

  • Set goals for what you want therapy to help you achieve

  • Understand the connection between your thoughts, body, and behavior under stress

  • Identify and shift the thought patterns and habits that intensify burnout

  • Reconnect with the values and priorities your work stress may be crowding out

  • Build practical stress-reduction skills — self-compassion, mindfulness, corrective breathing, and attention-shifting techniques

  • Support you on your unique journey

  • Track your progress along the way

Most clients meet weekly until symptoms improve (typically 8–20 sessions), then taper to less frequent sessions to maintain their progress.
