FAQS
How will we have sessions?
I use Simple Practice for telehealth video sessions, a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted video platform. You will be given a unique link to access your video session. You can also access the session from your client portal. You can use any computer with a webcam and a high-speed internet connection. If you prefer to use a smartphone or tablet, you must download the free Telehealth by Simple Practice app. At the start of the session, click on the link and the app will open automatically.
What is your fee for therapy?
My fee is $220 for a 45-minute session.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not a preferred provider on any medical insurance plan. I will collect payment on the day of our session and later provide you with a "superbill" for you to submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Please call your insurer to determine whether or not they will cover me as an out-of-network provider.
Do you accept Medicare?
No. I have opted out of Medicare. If you have Medicare Part B, your insurance will not cover my fees and we will have to sign a Medicare-required agreement, stating that my fees are not covered.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
No. I work solely via telehealth sessions using HIPAA-compliant platforms.
What form of payment do you accept?
Most payments are made via credit card on the secure Simple Practice Platform. Other forms of payment can be arranged, as needed.
What is the “No Surprises Act” or a “Good Faith Estimate”?
The “No Surprises Act” requires Health Care providers to provide you with an estimate of the cost of care. This is called a “Good Faith Estimate”. I will provide this for you during our initial meetings. READ MORE
